🇬🇧  Welcoming the Year of the Snake! 

This Chinese New Year, we celebrate the Year of the Snake, a symbol of wisdom, intuition, and transformation. Many of our 6th graders were born in the Year of the Snake, making this an extra special celebration for them! In Chinese tradition, wearing red during your zodiac year (known as benming nian) is believed to bring good luck and protect against misfortune—so don't forget to add some red to your outfit!

Lisbon's Chinese New Year festivities will include dragon and lion dances, cultural performances, and delicious food, offering a great opportunity to experience this rich tradition. Let's welcome the new year with joy, luck, and plenty of red!

Este Ano Novo Chinês, celebramos o Ano da Serpente, um símbolo de sabedoria, intuição e transformação. Muitos dos nossos alunos do 6.º ano nasceram no Ano da Serpente, tornando esta celebração ainda mais especial para eles! Na tradição chinesa, acredita-se que usar vermelho durante o seu ano do zodíaco (conhecido como benming nian) traz boa sorte e proteção contra a má sorte – por isso, não se esqueça de adicionar um toque de vermelho ao seu traje!

As festividades do Ano Novo Chinês em Lisboa incluiram danças do dragão e do leão, apresentações culturais e comida deliciosa, oferecendo uma excelente oportunidade para viver esta rica tradição. Vamos acolher o novo ano com alegria, sorte e muitos apontamentos vermelhos!
