🇬🇧 Reunion in the Serra da Estrela: Heat, Setbacks, and Plenty of Smiles in a Special Weekend
After the incredible week in the snow in Avoriaz, the group reunited once again, this time on Portuguese soil, for a highly anticipated reunion! On the 31st of May and 1st of June, the Serra da Estrela was the setting for another gathering, this time marked by impressive landscapes, great food, and an intense sun.
Saturday began with high temperatures and some unexpected logistics due to the Covilhã Hill Climb, which required adjusting schedules and routes. Despite the delays and detours, the group maintained good spirits, and everything eventually fell into place.
After lunch in Penhas da Saúde with regional dishes, a light walk through the mountainous lands followed. The atmosphere of the Serra and the landscape quickly made everyone forget the small setbacks.
Later, the group descended to the city of Covilhã, where a typical Beirão dinner capped off the day in style. Between roasted kid, cured meats, cheeses, and traditional sweets, the night was filled with sharing and good cheer.
It was a different weekend, with some adjustments along the way, but packed with happy memories and special moments. A true testament to the group spirit that was formed back in Avoriaz — and continues to grow.

🇵🇹 Reencontro na Serra da Estrela: calor, contratempos e muitos sorrisos num fim de semana especial
Depois da incrível semana na neve em Avoriaz, o grupo voltou a juntar-se, desta vez em solo português, para um reencontro muito esperado!!! Nos dias 31 de maio e 1 de junho, a Serra da Estrela foi o palco de mais um momento de convívio, desta vez marcado por paisagens imponentes, boa comida e um sol bem intenso.
O sábado começou com temperaturas elevadas e alguma logística inesperada devido à Corrida da Rampa da Covilhã, que obrigou a reajustar horários e rotas. Apesar dos atrasos e desvios, o grupo manteve o bom humor e tudo acabou por se encaixar naturalmente.
Depois de um almoço nas Penhas da Saúde com pratos regionais seguiu-se um passeio leve por terras serranas. O ambiente da Serra e a paisagem fizeram esquecer rapidamente os pequenos imprevistos.
Mais tarde, a comitiva desceu até à cidade da Covilhã, onde o jantar típico beirão encerrou o dia com chave de ouro. Entre cabrito assado, enchidos, queijos e doces tradicionais, a noite foi de partilha e boa disposição.
Foi um fim de semana diferente, com alguns ajustes pelo caminho, mas recheado de memórias felizes e momentos especiais. Um verdadeiro testemunho do espírito de grupo que se formou desde Avoriaz — e que continua a crescer.
