🇬🇧  PPA Outing to Mãe d'Água and Galeria do Loreto

The next PPA outing has a destination and date: Saturday 14 November, in the morning. We'll enjoy a guided tour of the Mãe d'Água das Amoreiras, where we'll discover the reservoir that once received water from the Águas Livres Aqueduct. We'll see the waterfall, the tank and the vaulted ceilings supported by pillars, and take in the views of Lisbon from the terrace. Afterwards, we'll explore the Galeria do Loreto, following an underground section of the city's historic water-supply system and discovering part of the network that carried water to Lisbon's fountains and buildings.

Places are limited, and registration will take place in the PPA Outings group. Don't miss out!

🇵🇹  Passeio com a PPA à Mãe d'Água e Galeria do Loreto

O próximo passeio da PPA já tem destino e data marcados. Vai ser no sábado dia 14 de novembro de manhã e será uma visita guiada à Mãe d'Água das Amoreiras, para conhecer o reservatório que recebia a água do Aqueduto das Águas Livres. Vamos ver a cascata, o tanque e as abóbadas sustentadas por pilares, e poderemos apreciar a vista de Lisboa a partir do terraço. Depois, vamos explorar a Galeria do Loreto que nos leva por um troço subterrâneo do antigo sistema de abastecimento de água da cidade, revelando parte da rede que conduzia água a fontes e edifícios de Lisboa.
