5th PPA Outing | Tile Painting Workshop was a success!

🇬🇧  The Tile Painting Workshop Was a Great Success!

We quickly sold out all the spots and are now organising a new session for those who missed out: 23rd March in the afternoon – all the details are available in the PPA Outings group on the PPA Community WhatsApp.

On Sunday, we gathered adults, children, and teens, and began by visiting the stunning Tile Museum, located in the former Convent of Madre de Deus. There, we learned about the evolution of tile painting from the 15th century to the present day, admired pieces of significant historical and artistic value, and explored the impact of tiles on Portuguese architecture. The interior of the convent's church took us by surprise with its ornamental tile panels and golden details – truly magnificent!

Afterward, we rolled up our sleeves and let our creativity flow, painting tiles with traditional colours and patterns, as well as modern designs and even our own original creations. It was a wonderful time of connection and fun!

🇵🇹  O workshop de pintura de azulejos foi um sucesso!

Esgotámos as vagas rapidamente e estamos a organizar uma nova data para quem ficou de fora: dia 23 de março à tarde – toda a informação no grupo PPA Outings na PPA Community no WhatsApp.

No domingo, juntámos adultos, crianças e jovens, e começámos por visitar o lindíssimo Museu do Azulejo, no antigo Convento da Madre de Deus, onde pudemos aprender sobre a evolução da pintura em azulejo desde o século XV até aos nossos dias, admirar peças de grande valor histórico e estético, e perceber a influência do azulejo na arquitetura portuguesa. O interior da igreja do Convento surpreendeu com os seus painéis de azulejos ornamentais e detalhes dourados. Maravilhosa!

De seguida, arregaçámos as mangas e explorámos a nossa criatividade, pintando azulejos com as cores tradicionais e padrões clássicos, modernos e até desenhos da própria autoria. Um tempo de convívio e alegria!
